At Rye, we aspire to provide our guests with an exceptional private dining experience that is polished & professional. Our team will assist you with coordinating your menu, ambiance, and details for any type of occasion. We have options for private events within the restaurant, full restaurant buyouts, in home catering, and off-site destinations. The possibilities are endless as our intent & goal is dedicated hospitality that welcomes our clients and their guests for a most memorable occasion.


MEET THE TEAM
Megan and Colby Garrelts are the executive chefs & owners of Rye Leawood and Rye Plaza. Chef Colby is a 2013 James Beard Foundation Best Chef Midwest award winner, a Semifinalist for Outstanding Chef from the James Beard Foundation and a 2005 Food & Wine Best New Chef. Chef Megan is a multiple James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef. Both chefs have had recipes featured in numerous local & national publications including; Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Saveur to name a few. The Garrelts have also co-written & published two cookbooks with Andrew McMeel Publishing, bluestem, the cookbook and Made in America.

    Join us while we welcome our good friends from Waldo Thai & Bucktui KC! This collaboration dinner will be a night you won't want to miss! A beautiful menu paired perfectly with handcrafted cocktails & wine. Each restaurant will donate a catered dinner to local healthcare workers within several KC area hospitals from a portion of the dinner proceeds. Seats are limited so make sure you reserve yours!

    Join us for the 90th Annual Plaza Art Fair, presented by Saint Luke's!

    Held Friday September 24 through Sunday, September 26, 2021, the Plaza Art Fair encompasses nine city blocks. Featuring 240 artists, the Plaza Art Fair is a top-ranked, national art event with three live music stages and over 20 featured restaurant booths, including our very own Rye booth! It continues to be a weekend of people simply celebrating art and each other, as well as Kansas City's unofficial welcome to the fall season.
